मध्य प्रदेश के इंदौर का कनाड़िया गांव आंगनवाड़ियों के लिए आदर्श बन चुका है।कार्यकर्ता और सहायिका ने सरकारी खानापूरी से आगे बढ़ व्यक्तिगत दायित्व मानते हुए इस अभियान को संभाला। एक-एक बच्चे पर नजर रखी, विशेष रणनीति बनाकर देखभाल की और नतीजा यह हुआ कि एक महीने में यहां कुपोषण का स्तर शून्य पर पहुंच गया। इंदौर से सटे कनाड़िया गांव में महीनेभर में कुपोषण का दंश खत्म करने का इतिहास बीते साल रचा गया। अब यह इतिहास संभाग की हजारों आंगनवाड़ी के लिए मिसाल बन गया है।
यहां किए गए प्रयासों को प्रशासन दूसरे आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों में मॉडल के तौर पर प्रस्तुत कर रहा है। इसका नतीजा यह हुआ कि कनाड़िया की तर्ज पर खजराना में भी अभियान शुरू हुआ। वर्तमान में खजराना क्षेत्र भी कुपोषण मुक्त हो गया। कनाड़िया की आंगनवाड़ी कार्यकर्ता संतोष मकवाना ने बताया कि 2017 में क्षेत्र में 81 बच्चे कम वजन और सात बच्चे अति कम वजन के दर्ज थे।
बच्चों के माता-पिता को कई बार समझाने के बाद भी वे उन्हें आंगनवाड़ी भेजने में दिलचस्पी नहीं लेते थे। ऐसे में कई बच्चे गंभीर स्थिति में पहुंच गए। इस बीच में महिला बाल विकास विभाग के अधिकारी निरीक्षण करने आए थे, तब उन्होंने कुपोषण खत्म करने का चैलेंज दिया, जिसे हमने स्वीकार किया।संतोष ने बताया कि माता-पिता मजदूरी करने निकल जाते हैं तो हम घर जाकर बच्चों को गोद में उठाकर लाते हैं। उन्हें सरकार से मिलने वाला पहला, दूसरा और तीसरे चरण का भोजन देने के साथ-साथ दूध-केला खिलाते हैं।
तीन बजे तक केंद्र में अपनी निगरानी में ही रखते हैं। प्राइवेट डॉक्टरों से इलाज के लिए परामर्श लेकर बच्चों को जरूरी दवाएं भी देते हैं। हर हफ्ते बच्चों का वजन करते हैं। एक माह तक लगातार ये बच्चे निगरानी में रहे। हमने व्यक्तिगत तौर पर बच्चों के विकास पर ध्यान दिया। तब तय समयसीमा में सभी बच्चे लाल रेखा यानी खतरे से बाहर हो गए।
इच्छाशक्ति से हुआ संभव
महिला बाल विकास के सहायक संचालक वीपीएस राठौर का कहना है कि कनाड़िया में किए गए प्रयास पूरे संभाग के लिए आदर्श हैं। कार्यकर्ता और सहायिका की इच्छाशक्ति से यह संभव हो सका है। कुपोषण से निपटने के लिए व्यक्तिगत रूप से उन बच्चों व परिवार से जुड़ना जरूरी है। इनके उदाहरण सभी जिलों में दिए जा रहे हैं।
