प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने लैंडर का संपर्क टूट जाने के बाद इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों से कहा,‘‘देश को आप पर गर्व है। सर्वश्रेष्ठ के लिए उम्मीद करें। हौसला रखें। जीवन में उतार-चढ़ाव आते रहते हैं। यह कोई छोटी उपलब्धि नहीं है।’’
मोदी संबंधित घटनाक्रम के मद्देनजर आज सुबह आठ बजे राष्ट्र को संबोधित करेंगे।
भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘माननीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज (7 सितंबर 2019) सुबह आठ बजे इसरो के नियंत्रण केंद्र से राष्ट्र को संबोधित करेंगे।’’
लैंडर को रात लगभग एक बजकर 38 मिनट पर चांद की सतह पर लाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू की गई, लेकिन चांद पर नीचे की तरफ आते समय चंद्र सतह से 2.1 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई पर जमीनी स्टेशन से इसका संपर्क टूट गया।
‘विक्रम’ ने ‘रफ ब्रेकिंग’ और ‘फाइन ब्रेकिंग’ चरणों को सफलतापूर्वक पूरा कर लिया, लेकिन ‘सॉफ्ट लैंडिंग’ से पहले इसका संपर्क धरती पर मौजूद स्टेशन से टूट गया। इसके साथ ही वैज्ञानिकों और देश के लोगों के चेहरे पर निराशा की लकीरें छा गईं।
इसरो अध्यक्ष के. सिवन इस दौरान कुछ वैज्ञानिकों से गहन चर्चा करते दिखे।
उन्होंने घोषणा की कि ‘विक्रम’ लैंडर को चांद की सतह की तरफ लाने की प्रक्रिया योजना के अनुरूप और सामान्य देखी गई, लेकिन जब यह चंद्र सतह से 2.1 किलोमीटर की ऊंचाई पर था तो तभी इसका जमीनी स्टेशन से संपर्क टूट गया। डेटा का अध्ययन किया जा रहा है।
बाद में इसरो ने कहा कि डेटा का अध्ययन किया जा रहा है और निर्धारित संवाददाता सम्मेलन रद्द किया जाता है।
मोदी चांद पर ‘सॉफ्ट लैंडिंग’ का सीधा नजारा देखने के लिए यहां स्थित इसरो केंद्र पहुंचे थे। हालांकि, लैंडर से संपर्क टूट जाने के कारण ‘सॉफ्ट लैंडिंग’ के बारे में कोई सूचना नहीं मिल पाई।
प्रधानमंत्री ने भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के वैज्ञानिकों से कहा कि देश को उन पर गर्व है और उन्हें हौसला रखना चाहिए।

वहीं, ‘चंद्रयान-2’ के लैंडर ‘विक्रम’ का चांद पर उतरते समय जमीनी स्टेशन से संपर्क टूट जाने के बीच राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्द ने कहा कि देश को इसरो के वैज्ञानिकों पर गर्व है।
कोविन्द ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘चंद्रयान-2 मिशन के साथ इसरो की समूची टीम ने असाधारण प्रतिबद्धता और साहस का प्रदर्शन किया है। देश को इसरो पर गर्व है।’’
उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘हम सभी सर्वश्रेष्ठ की उम्मीद करते हैं।’’
वहीं, केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह, वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री हर्षवर्धन तथा दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविन्द केजरीवाल भी इसरो वैज्ञानिकों से कहा कि वे निराश न हों और उनकी उपलब्धियों पर देश को गर्व है।
इसके साथ ही कांग्रेस ने कहा कि देश इसरो के साथ खड़ा है और उसका प्रयास व्यर्थ नहीं जाएगा।
कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने इसरो वैज्ञानिकों की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने मिशन पर बेहतरीन काम किया तथा कई और महत्वपूर्ण एवं महत्वाकांक्षी अंतरिक्ष मिशनों की नींव रखी है।
गांधी ने ट्वीट किया, ‘‘इसरो को ‘चंद्रयान-2’ मिशन पर उसके बेहतरीन कार्य के लिए बधाई। आपका भाव और समर्पण हर भारतीय के लिए एक प्रेरणा है। आपका काम व्यर्थ नहीं जाएगा। इसने कई और महत्वपूर्ण तथा महत्वाकांक्षी भारतीय अंतरिक्ष मिशनों की नींव रखी है।’’
