दरअसल, इस समय पाकिस्तान में फैला कांगो हेमेरेजिक फीवर अब भारत में भी पैर पसार सकता है. इसको देखते हुए राजस्थान सरकार ने बॉर्डर से सटे सभी इलाकों में अलर्ट जारी कर दिया है. जवानों को दुश्मन के साथ-साथ पाकिस्तानी जानवरों पर भी कड़ी नजर रखने के लिए कहा गया है. पाकिस्तान के जानवरों से इस बार खतरा बढ़ गया है.
इस खतरे को देखते हुए राजस्थान सरकार ने सीमा से सटे सभी इलाकों में अलर्ट जारी कर दिया है. वहां के चिकित्सा विभाग ने बाड़मेर, जैसरमेर, बीकानेर, श्रीगंगानगर और जोधपुर स्वास्थ्य विभाग की टीमों को भेज दिया गया है.

कांगो हेमेरेजिक फीवर जानलेवा साबित हो सकता है. इस वायरल इन्फेक्शन से पीड़ित 30 से 80 फीसदी मामलों में रोगी की मौत हो जाती है. यह बीमारी पशुओं में पाए जाने वाले पैरासाइट 'हिमोरल' के जरिए इंसानों में फैलती है. कांगों फीवर के ज़्यादातर मामले पश्चिमी और पूर्वी अफ्रीका में पाए जाते हैं. पिस्सू के जरिए यह बीमारी जानवरों से फैलती है.
